Our Dental Assisting course has been developed around a very comprehensive classroom and in-depth lab curriculum performed in a real dental office with state-of-the-art equipment and experienced staff. A syllabus, all lecture materials and text book are provided as part of the tuition. The course is 12 weeks in duration: 11 consecutive Saturdays (excluding holidays) of lecture material and clinical lab training, for a total of eighty-eight (88) classroom hours of instruction and 1 week of internship. Lab time is offered on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Week 12 and 13 of the course consists of a 80-hour externship at one or more dental offices of the student's choice. The externship can be started and completed during the first 11 weeks of the course rather than completing it in weeks 12 and 13. We recommend waiting until after week 4 of the course to start your externship so you will have your radiology certification. Admission is open to anyone over 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED certificate of completion.
